Are you a passionate graduate with a heart for supporting children with Special Needs? If so, this opportunity is perfect for you!As the successful Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in shaping young lives. You will work closely with small groups of Key Stage 1 pupils who experience difficulties in communication, focusing on speech sounds, synthetic phonics, and narrative skills as guided by our dedicated Speech Therapist.
Your ability to jump right in and connect at all levels within the school community will be crucial. Together with our supportive staff, you will be responsible for safeguarding and ensuring the welfare of our children and young people.This is more than just a job; it’s a chance to make a lasting impact and be part of a team that values every step of a child’s development journey.
Previous experience working with SEND and knowledge of Makaton and PECS is essential for this role.
To be considered for this role, you will need:- Experience with Speech and Language difficulties.
- Proficiency in PECS and Makaton.
- A dedication and passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
