Cover Supervisor (Secondary)

Cover Supervisor - South East London

We are currently looking to hire an experienced Cover Supervisor to join one of our Secondary schools in South East London.

• Deliver lessons and lead the classroom effectively.
• Keep students engaged and interested in tasks aligned with the national curriculum.
• Collaborate with other class teachers and teaching assistants to motivate and inspire students.

Cover Supervisor: The Ideal Candidate

• Have a genuine passion for working in Education.
• Are dedicated to supporting a stimulating and safe learning environment for students.
• Possess a strong understanding of safeguarding principles.
• Are confident in delivering lessons with a comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum.
• Can manage a classroom effectively and monitor student behavior appropriately.
• Have an understanding of SEN or experience managing challenging behavior (desirable but not essential).
• Hold other qualifications in education and teaching (QTS is not required but desirable).

Cover Supervisor: Candidate Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the curriculum and experience in delivering lessons.
• Relevant classroom experience, with referees to verify this experience.
• A valid Enhanced DBS check, registered with the DBS Update Service, or a willingness to apply for a new one immediately upon shortlisting.
• Professionalism, reliability, and punctuality in all assignments.
• Experience working in the UK and a confident understanding of safeguarding and the importance of safe practice in a secondary school environment.
