ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching are seeking recent Psychology graduates to work at a SEN school in Oldham that provides support for children aged 11+ years old with significant learning difficulties, autism and speech & language difficulties.
The role will be similar to that of a teaching assistant, providing support to students throughout their tailored academic day on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
The role is working in SEN Support and will consist of:- Providing tailored support and working with children with SEN (special education needs)
- Creating a safe environment that allows the children to have fun, learn and succeed
- Academic support of a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assisting the teacher
- Teaching assistant qualification would be desired but not essential
- Experience of supporting pupils with SEN on a voluntary or paid basis OR
- Experience of working with children in a youth setting OR
- A recent relevant degree (Speech & Language)
- Location - Oldham, Greater Manchester
- Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
- Contract Type - Temporary (with possible permanent opportunities)
- Minimum Daily Rate - £90
- Hours - 8.30-3.30pm (Term Time only) Monday - Friday
- Start Date - ASAP
