Join our team at a complex needs center in Lambeth as an Office Receptionist and Administrator. This role is crucial for supporting daily administrative tasks and acting as a key point of contact for parents, carers, and other stakeholders. Under the direction of the Director of SEND, you will manage the office workload and maintain an efficient and purposeful environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Responsible for reception duties, including answering routine telephone calls, taking messages, redirecting calls as appropriate, and being the first point of contact for all visitors.
- Respond to all enquiries, sign in visitors, and ensure a welcoming environment.
- Maintain and regularly update learner files, supporting procedures dealing with admissions, withdrawals, transfers, and notifications of health issues and changes to medication.
- Manage the provision of reception cover and ensure the creation and maintenance of accurate and confidential records, such as personal files and contact information.
- Undertake general duties to facilitate the smooth day-to-day operation of the office, including writing letters, responding to enquiries, communicating with stakeholders about college policies, activities, and events, topping up Oyster cards, and issuing ID passes for learners, staff, and visitors.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in office administration or receptionist roles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using office software and maintaining confidential records.
