Amazon Web Services EMEA Marketing team is looking for a Senior Email Marketing Manager to make an impact on our customers’ online experience. This role is perfect for a candidate who is passionate about marketing communication through email for optimal customer experiences.

This role will be in charge of the email strategy in AWS EMEA Marketing, including optimizing personalization, managing an email send calendar, working with cross-functional teams to build out email communication strategies, and raising the bar for our email communications to improve customer experience in the email channel.

A successful candidate would be a strong communicator, effective listener, and project manager who is able to balance multiple priorities and draw insights from multiple data sources. The Senior Email Marketing Manager will manage cross-functional marketing programs and guide tactical execution to identify opportunities for continuously improving the quality of email campaigns for our customers.

We are looking for a candidate to own our email channel strategy including email experimentation and optimize performance over time, being comfortable to regularly dive deep into the data and outline improvement areas. This candidate needs to be comfortable working with complex challenges autonomously and moving forwards through ambiguity.

Experience in email marketing, marketing automation, and experience with Adobe Marketing products (Marketo, Adobe Analytics) is highly desired.

Key job responsibilities

As a Senior Email Marketing Manager, you will own the email channel to grow EMEA AWS business. You will be the gatekeeper of email marketing communications to our EMEA customers, and be responsible for holding a high bar to improve customer experience for email marketing communications.
You will be responsible for presenting your strategy to senior leadership, executing against the strategy, sharing results, and iterating your strategy based on results. This includes identifying target audiences, architecting customer journeys on our email channel, developing testing and experimentation framework, and partnering across internal teams.

You will also work with AWS Global Email Marketing team to define new initiatives, influence global email roadmap, and present your vision.

- Experience in professional marketing experience
  • Experience with customer segmentation, profiling, and targeting
  • Experience developing and executing email marketing strategies
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience using Marketo for email marketing execution
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience presenting strategy and metrics to senior leadership
  • Experience with Excel, Tableau or QuickSight (data manipulation, charts and pivot tables)
