We are looking for a talented individual to join a new and evolving Clinical Registries Team; someone who has a drive and passion in delivering an exemplar service and who would like to progress a career in this profession.
The applicant should possess a comprehensive knowledge of project management and/or health information systems development along with workforce development knowledge and experience. They should also have experience of project/programme management or service delivery and it is essential that the applicant is a clear communicator involving often complex matters and of sensitive and confidential nature.They should possess excellent writing, report writing and presentation skills with advanced use of Microsoft Office.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role are managing the audit functions and development for their responsible registry or audit. This requires a high degree of knowledge and experience of many aspects of the Clinical Registry system. The Audit Lead is required to exercise a high degree of initiative, collaborative working and independent action.They will support teams to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed and delivered effectively as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Will manage the accurate and continuous audit of data collection of all participating hospitals by monitoring their performance and liaising closely with clinical and administrative staff at the hospitals to support their participation of your responsible audits and registries.
Deliver against organisational objectives, achieving quality outcomes, prioritising own workload and working to tight deadlines.
Participate in relevant internal and external working groups, services, and initiatives which may be highly complex, sensitive, political, and contain contentious information with the aim of providing information and specialist advice to the teams.
Manage the daily monitoring of coding activity and deadlines, escalating any areas of concern to the senior team as appropriate.
Support the management of the annual membership processes and provide update on membership fees.
Will support and attend the Outlier Governance Committee and to play a key role in the annual outlier surveillance review.
Line management responsibility and carry out duties such as personal & development reviews, regular one to one meetings and performance management reviews.

Education / Training / Qualifications
Essential criteria- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience in communications and stakeholder management.
- Previous experience in similar role in public sector or associated organisation.
- Evidence of success in efficient and effective project and programme management or service delivery.
- Experience in AIS injury coding
- A record of working in a clinical audit environment
