Interim Payroll Manager Location: London (at least 4 days on-site, Mo-Thu)Employment Type: Temporary, full-time (4-6 weeks)Department: Finance, reporting to CFOSalary: £300-350 per day Our client, a leading global asset management firm is seeking an experienced Interim Payroll Manager to oversee its international payroll operations.
The company has a strong presence across Europe, North America, and Asia, managing multi-billion-dollar investments on behalf of institutional and private clients. Role Overview: The Interim Payroll Manager will take ownership of global payroll operations across multiple regions, including UK, North America, EMEA, and APAC.
This role requires a strong understanding of international payroll complexities and vendor management. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the end-to-end payroll process across multiple international locations. Partner with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Processing all elements of monthly and bi-monthly Payroll with precise accuracy in a timely manner, including; joiners, leavers, salary/benefit changes, commissions and bonuses, parental leave, sick pay, pensions etc. Ensure accuracy in payroll reporting, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
Provide analysis and insights on compensation costs to support financial planning and decision-making. Candidate Profile: Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business administration preferred. At least 8+ years of experience managing multi-country payroll operations, ideally within a global financial services organisation.
Strong knowledge of international payroll legislation, compliance, tax and best practices. Understanding of UK payroll and benefits i.e. issuing P45s, P60s and P11Ds. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present payroll data effectively.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
