Finance Manager (Part-Time, Hybrid)
Location: Flexible (ideally minimum 2 days in office)Hours: 25 hours per week, Flexible, with scope to increase if desired.
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 (pro rata) depending on experience

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Manager to support a high net worth individual (UHNWI) with multiple businesses. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home while requiring a minimum of two days per week in the office.The ideal candidate will have AAT and ATT accounting qualifications, as well as expertise in personal and corporate tax planning and optimization (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CTA desired but not essential).
If successful, you will work along side other finance personnel who are dedicated to some of the larger businesses owned/controlled by the UHNWI owner.You will be involved in maintaining smaller and embryonic businesses and supporting their transition to a dedicated team as appropriate, additionally, you may be involved in DD in potential corporate transactions/acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance and Reporting
- Serve as the internal expert on tax planning, compliance and administration. Continuously exploring tax optimisation strategies against on-going business operations.
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Arrange payments for PAYE, NEST, and other obligations.
Embryonic/Small Business Accounting:
- Check and update bank records and payments.
- Process supplier payments and handle supplier queries.
- Post invoices and manage customer queries.
- Create sales orders and prepare commercial invoices and shipment documents.
- Complete month-end tasks including bank reconciliations, asset management, prepayments, and expense tracking.
- Provide year-end support as needed.
- Conduct stock takes
- Arrange shipments and address related queries.
- Preparing commercial invoices and shipment documents
- AAT and ATT accounting qualifications (essential) ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CTA (desirable).
- Strong knowledge of tax planning and tax optimization (essential).
- Experience in managing finances for multiple businesses is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools, ideally Netsuite.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger accounting team.
- Flexible working hours and hybrid working arrangement. Ideally suited for someone looking for a role that can work around the school run or other commitments.
