We are seeking an enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join a highly regarded educational institution in Somerset, starting on 22nd April 2025, following the Easter break.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students aged 4 to 16, fostering their confidence and academic growth in Mathematics.
About the Role
As a Mathematics Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons tailored to students’ individual needs.
- Teach both individuals and full classes in a face-to-face learning environment.
- Assess student progress through tests, assignments, and constructive feedback.
- Organise enriching extracurricular activities, including maths-related events and trips.
- Monitor student development, providing support to help them achieve their full potential.
- Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to student progress reports.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Experience supporting students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
- The ability to design engaging and interactive lessons that cater to varied learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to teaching, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Patience, resilience, and a keen eye for detail.
- Competency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
- An Enhanced DBS background check, as this role involves working with children.
- A reliable mode of transport may be required due to the school’s location.
