Direct Medics Healthcare Recruitment are seeking a compassionate and skilled Band 7 CBT Psychotherapist to join the Community Eating Disorder Service in the Prescot area. This is an exciting opportunity for an accredited BABCP CBT Psychotherapist to deliver CBT to children and young people within the eating disorder community service team.

Contract is up to 3 months initially with full time hours required (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) to cover sick leave. Salary from £43,742 to £50,056 a year per annum.

In this role, you will:

  • Have experience working with Eating Disorders to deliver CBT to children and young people within the service
  • To accept referrals and agreed protocols within the service and work as part of an MDT.
  • To work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
  • Use highly developed communication skills in working with children and young people to understand their personal and often very sensitive difficulties.
  • Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment and treatment of children and young people in line with the service
Requirements
  • UK based experience working as a CBT Therapist with Eating Disorders - ideally looking for a specialist CBT-E Therapist
  • Experience of working with children and young people desirable
  • Experience of working with eating disorders desirable
  • Significant experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner and can demonstrates the competences as required
  • Post Graduate Diploma, or equivalent Post Graduate level CBT Training certificate which confers eligibility for BABCP accreditation
  • Has BABCP accreditation or able to achieve Provisional Accreditation within one year
  • Full UK Drivers License and access to a car
  • Right to Work in the UK
