A leading and creative Energy Advisory Agency, dedicated to helping communities transition to sustainable energy systems are looking for an experienced Energy Solutions Engineering Consultant to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for working with Local Authorities, Communities, and Public Sector clients to scope opportunities for energy efficiency, renewable energy and battery storage projects.
Location: Remote
You will leverage your deep understanding of the energy industry, along with your technical expertise, to identify potential projects and provide advice on securing funding for the next steps.This could include renewable energy generation, energy efficiency initiatives, or storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and propose renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, and other green technologies.
- Conduct energy audits and technical assessments to determine optimal efficiency solutions.
- Prepare feasibility studies, technical reports, and proposals to support funding applications or internal decision-making.
- Carry out in-depth on-site energy surveys, producing calculations, reports, and proposals.
- Liaising with National Grid and distribution network operators on behalf of client’s to attend network surgeries and apply for project grid connections.
- Manage the delivery of energy projects from concept to implementation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Proactively aim to reduce energy consumption within communities.
- Constantly review energy usage using analytical techniques (e.g., analysing HH data).
- Maintain company records and evidence to comply with audits associated with consultancy advisory work.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Energy, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field).
- Proven experience in energy efficiency and renewable energy systems.
- Strong knowledge of energy performance, energy management, and sustainable design principles.
- Strong experience and knowledge in the energy industry with a good understanding of grid connectivity and emerging trends.
- Experience working with public sector clients or local authorities is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results in a timely manner.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use energy modeling tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to deliver and implement energy solutions through management and optimisation.
- Logical thinker with the ability to influence by presenting strong business cases.
- Competent in producing detailed energy budgets, covering consumption, cost, and margin.
- Ability to maintain company and client H&S standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and responsibility for delivery against targets.
