What skills and experience we're looking for
Houlton School has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Head of Subject: Business Studies to join our successful school.
You will join a passionate team of teachers who are committed to delivering the curriculum in engaging and 6 inspiring ways. You will be an excellent teacher who has the ability to inspire, motivate, challenge and support their pupils to ensure that they make excellent progress.
As Head of Business Studies you will take on an important leadership role of the curriculum and wider Middle Leadership Team and will be responsible for ensuring the department is of a World Class standard. Business Studies will be running across Year 10 and 11 from September and is a very popular option at GCSE.The successful candidate will also be responsible for launching Business Studies at KS5.This post is not suitable for Early Career Teachers.

What the school offers its staff
Houlton School is a brand new secondary free school that opened in September 2021; set within a combination of fully refurbished Grade II listed buildings as well as brand new, specialist teaching facilities.
You will join us just ahead of welcoming our fifth cohort of pupils and the launch of Key Stage 4, so will teach across Years 7-11 in the first instance. Ultimately, we will have all seven year groups, including Sixth form.
