I am looking for a special person for a friendly 40 bedded care home situated in a pleasant residential area of Newtown conveniently close to a local bus route, with shops nearby.The relaxed environment means residents feel right at home and the surrounding gardens are beautifully kept, with wheelchair access throughout as well as a pretty courtyard and patio.
This job will involve:- Work together with your colleagues to ensure that the physical, social, psychological and emotional needs of service users are met
- Develop and implement evidence based individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and individualised activity programmes
- Lead and supervise the support and nursing teams to deliver the highest standards of person-centred care
- Provide the very best levels of care and support to ensure that personal hygiene needs are met, (washing, dressing, bathing, using the toilet
- Ensure that all procedures are carried out to the highest of standards and optimising the wellbeing of every resident
For this role you will need:
- QCF Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager or Team Leader in a residential Home
- A good working knowledge of CIW standards and the Health and Social Act 2008
- Experience of supporting the elderly
- A strong knowledge of person-centred care
