Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role in Levenshulme
Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant for an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Levenshulme. This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent role depending on performance.
Role Overview
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and students in the classroom. This position is ideal for recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in education, particularly those considering a career in teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across various subjects.
- Working closely with individual students or small groups to provide targeted academic support.
- Assisting in lesson planning, classroom management, and the preparation of learning materials.
- Providing additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or those who require extra assistance.
- Monitoring student progress and offering feedback to teaching staff.
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting the pastoral care of students, ensuring their well-being and development.
Candidate Requirements:
- A degree in any subject (2:2 or above preferred).
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, youth work) is beneficial but not essential.
Salary & Benefits:
- Weekly pay between £419.25 - £500, based on experience and responsibilities.
