SHIFT PATTERN: Sunday - Thursday 22:00-06:00, 40 hours per week
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
ABM is looking for a hardworking and proactive Supervisor to join our team working all over London.
Team Management- Supervise and manage a team of cleaning staff to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assign daily tasks and cleaning schedules to team members, ensuring all areas are covered.
- Monitor staff performance, provide training, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Train new staff, making sure that they are competent and understand the specification needed on cleaning, graffiti and Publicity and to carry out refresher training if needed.
- To train new starters/Operatives on mobile software.
- Carry out regular audits on cleanliness/damages of company vehicles.
- To carry out cleaning tasks if required.
- Deliver chemicals/equipment to staff, saving time so staff can continue their duties.
- Inspect completed cleaning tasks to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.
- Carry out shelter cleaning audits throughout the cleaning monthly period.
- Address any quality issues or complaints promptly and take corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and implement cleaning standards and procedures.
- Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are available and in good working condition.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify Line Manager when stock is becoming low.
- Ensure that equipment is maintained and used properly to avoid damage or accidents.
- Ensure that cleaning staff follow safety protocols, including the correct handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper disposal of waste.
- Report and address any potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Carry out regular toolbox talks with staff.
- Make sure that staff understand the reporting process for accidents/Incidents, and to investigate at the time of occurrence.
- Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
- Communicate with clients or management regarding cleaning requirements or concerns.
- Provide feedback and report on cleaning activities and any issues requiring attention.
- Create and manage cleaning schedules, ensuring coverage for all areas at required times.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, staff attendance, and any incidents or accidents.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to upper management.
- Train new cleaning staff on company procedures, health and safety standards, and cleaning techniques.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to improve staff performance.
Person Specification:
Experience: Previous experience in cleaning or facilities management, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
