Care Today (Children's Services) are recruiting Residential Care Workers to join our homes based in Manchester.

Our welcoming homes provide 24/7 care for young people within the home, the home is for children all facing a variety of their own challenges, and we are looking for enthusiastic and caring people to help make a difference to these children.

Within our Manchester Homes we also have an exciting wider project looking at Semi Independent living for soon to be Care Leavers.

During your 6-month probation period, you will be enrolled in a NVQ 3 Diploma in residential care, if you do not already hold one. This will be fully funded and you will be given plenty of time and support to complete However, you must be self-motivated to complete the qualification, should you complete within an agreed timescale bonuses can be available.

Ideally the person applying will have:-
  • Availability and ability to work on a rota that involves 24/7 working
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Able and willing to do sleep in shifts
  • Accurate record keeper
  • Organisational skills
  • Good team player
  • Driving licence
Care Today are a family run Independent provider of Residential homes for children of varying ages, along with our sister company Parallel Parents Fostering who have been rated Ofsted Outstanding since 2010.
We are very focused on our staff's progression within the company and offer various opportunities for people to progress within the following areas:-

  • Sleepovers are paid at £60.00 per sleep
  • Waking night rate is £16.00 per hour
*We also pay sleepovers during annual leave (*based on average of sleepovers carried out in past 12 month period)
  • Overtime paid over and above contractual full time hours
  • Bonus paid on completion of L3 diploma

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
