Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals!
Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Liverpool.
We are recruiting for a support worker to join our team in Tuebrook, where you will support two sisters aged 60+ with learning disabilities, autism, and other needs. Your role will involve daily 1:1 community activities such as shopping, attending church for mass, going to the cinema, visiting nail salons, and participating in day and community centre activities.

Both ladies have a close relationship with their family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily activities and provide emotional support.
  • Engage in community activities and outings.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in spoken English.
  • Cook traditional English meals, which is essential for the ladies.

What We're Looking For:

  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Experience in caregiving, community support, or similar roles.
  • Someone who shares the ladies' interests and values, such as enjoying community activities, attending church, and spending quality time with family.

Shift Times:

  • Rolling rota with shifts planned up to 2 months in advance.
  • Shifts include 9am/10am-10pm, sleep-in from 8am-10am, and day shifts varying from 9am-5pm, 10am-4pm, and 9.30am-5pm depending on activities.
  • Sleep-in shifts available with an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45.

Contract Options:

  • Part-time: flexible hours based on availability.
