Do you have extensive experience in Public Procurement? If so, we invite you to join our Finance team as a Procurement officer!
We have a fantastic new Full-Time, Permanent opportunity for a Procurement officer aiming to enhance the well-being of our residents.
In this role, you will provide professional and effective Procurement and Contract Management Support to the Procurement team and wider organisation. Support and work collaboratively with the Procurement Manager to ensure that all procurement activities adhere to the Public Procurement Regulations 2015 (PCR)/Public Procurement Act 2023, legislative requirements and Eastlight internal procurement policy and process.
What you'll do:
- Manage all low tender exercises from the compilation of documents, issuing invitations, managing clarifications, chairing tender panels, award and carry out debriefs
- Manage all low quotation exercises including market research, sourcing appropriate solution that will meet and satisfy requirements whilst achieving value for money
- Support the management of other high value tenders in conjunction with Procurement Managers guidance
- Support Procurement Manager with tendering activities to allow the team to provide a first-class service to the business
You’ll need to have:
- MCIPS Qualification Level 4 or higher
- Previous procurement experience within the Public Sector, as well as working with the Public Procurement Regulations 2015; plus an awareness of the Public Procurement Act 2023
- Demonstrable experience in using a relevant Purchase Order System and e-Procurement Portal
- £35,374 annual base salary
- Full-Time, Permanent
- Group stakeholder pension plan (Eastlight will double, up to 5% of the employee’s contribution - Employee 5% + Eastlight 10% = Total 15%)
- Annual wellbeing grant of £200 per annum – Subject to eligibility
- 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Trailblazing family leave [Maternity, Paternity and Adoption – 12 weeks full pay / 6 weeks half pay] – Subject to eligibility

- Formal qualifications and paid professional membership
