Salary: £25,036 - SCP 24

About you

We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our agile and supportive team as we develop our food and beverage offer, catering for our varied audiences and commercial events.

The role sits within a supportive team, and you will be expected to bring passion and dedication to your role, working closely

with the Head Chef.

It would be great if you had experience in:

Experience in pastry

Experience of working within the hospitality industry, including producing food provision for large scale events

Skills and knowledge of:

Ability to work well under pressure in a multi-outlet operation.

Passionate about food and hospitality- a natural flair for amazing food quality

Strong communication skills

Capable of delivering key business metrics e.g. food safety management

High degree of flexibility, can respond to a range of different work situations

Proven ability to develop best in class sourcing of ingredients

Passionate about live events, music, culture and the North East

You’ll be responsible for:

  • A passion for food, sustainability, and innovation
  • Support the head chef by helping with ideas to improve the effectiveness of your section and overall kitchen output
  • Support the head chef in working with the commercial event team, and audience experience team, to ensure that the kitchen
produces an appropriate and exciting offer for our varied range of audiences
  • Work independently and as part of a team, asking for guidance when needed
  • Ability to assist with menu design and innovation, responding to our audiences and events
  • Continually develop your knowledge of industry trends
  • Work to team-wide target to minimize food waste, in line with our ethos
  • Support sustainability and seasonality in all menus
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of health and safety and food safety regulations
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work as part of a wider team, working towards a common goal
  • Producing dishes, both hot and cold, to a high standard
  • Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy in line with required standards, completing records as required
  • Ensuring stock orders are maintained to an appropriate level
