Our client is looking for a H & S Officer who will be responsible for identifying and mitigating workplace hazards. They will ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, advising management on safe working practices, and promoting a culture of safety within the business.
Duties include for the role of H & S Officer:- Work with the H & S Manager in determining safe working practices, ensuring suitable and sufficient risk assessments for operations and effective risk control measures are adhered to.
- Undertake planned health and safety audits and workplace inspections to ensure audit compliance with regulations and procedures.
- Ensure general administration of the Health and Safety requirements are carried out in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain, review, and revise first aid arrangements, organising appropriate training, as necessary. in liaison with the H & S manager.
- Coordinate quarterly Health and Safety Committee meetings.
- Carry out investigations of all accidents / incidents and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
- Administer the Risk Assessment, MSDS and COSHH systems for the site.
To be considered for the role candidates must have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role with NEBOSH Level 3 General Certificate in Health & safety qualification. They must be articulate and confident with report writing and have strong planning and organisational skills.
