Are you a motivated individual who would like to join our expanding Pharmacy Systems Team and develop your leadership and management skills?
The Grange University Hospital (GUH) Pharmacy are looking for an enthusiastic, conscientious and adaptable individual with the motivation and skills to provide site based support for a wide variety of Pharmacy systems, including the Welsh Hospital Pharmacy Stock Management System, Omnicell Database and Automated Dispensing Cabinets, and Pharmacy Robot Dispensing System.
Candidates must be computer literate and be able to quickly learn to use different computer systems and programs to undertake day-to-day tasks in an accurate and efficient manner. You will work as part of the Pharmacy Systems Team under the direction of the Pharmacy Systems Manager and so must possess excellent communication and team work skills.
The Grange University Hospital is a fast-paced emergency and critical care hospital and the Pharmacy Department staff are dedicated to providing safe patient care through forward thinking and innovative practises.

Main duties of the job
To understand how the roles and responsibilities of the Pharmacy Systems Team have a direct impact on medication and patient safety.
To assist the Pharmacy Systems Manager and work in tandem with the Pharmacy Systems Team representatives at other sites to ensure that all systems are optimised and managed in accordance with SOPs and a standardised approach across the health board is maintained.
To assist the Pharmacy Systems Manager in delivery of all systems-based improvements and optimisation.
To provide site-based support to The Grange University Hospital team to assist in the procurement and supply of medicines to all areas served by the department.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential criteria- GCSE at C Grade or above in Maths, English and Science, or equivalent qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 BTEC/Diploma or equivalent demonstrable experience in pharmacy
- Computer literate. Competent in use of Microsoft 365
- Omnicell System Administrator Training Certification
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience of using systems in a hospital setting
- Knowledge of legal requirements for supply of medicines
- Aware of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, and their implications for staff
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability of working to deadlines and meeting set targets
