Greener NHS Strategy Analysts are part of NHS England , Greener NHS programme team led by the Chief Sustainability Officer. The Greener NHS programme sits within the Strategy Directorate. The Greener NHS national programme delivers programmes for the NHS and where relevant the wider health sector including: Delivering a Net Zero plan for the NHS; Delivering the LTP commitments in relation to carbon, waste and water, reducing single use plastics and reducing air pollution; Supporting Regions, networks and STPs to embed changes across the sector; Air Quality deliverables and approaches across the NHS, public health and Local Government.
In addition, the team may also support new work including: Problem-solving projects to support areas of the business needing improvement; Providing the Board with analytical and policy support on key priorities; Conducting horizon scanning studies of key trends related to health and healthcare; Building the strategic skills and capabilities of the Directorate and the organisation as a whole.
