Educational Support Worker
You will be supporting students on a 1:1 basis and adapting approaches to meet the individual needs of the child.
The standard hours are 8:30-15:30. Full time is preferred but part time of 3 days will also be considered. Experience with SEMH, high needs children, and autism is essential. The successful candidate will be resilient and determined to establish an excellent rapport with hard to reach children.The school is in central Yeovil and is easily accessible by public transport.
Main Responsibilities
Support students by making curriculum accessible and changing approaches to make learning fun
Establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils while maintaining a safe and consistent environment
Helping students to develop social skills and self-regulation skills
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO and other staff members to address the individual needs of students
Motivate students to reach their full potential through encouragement and praise
Essential Criteria
Have experience with SEN
Right to work in the UK
Relevant references and DBS/police checks if necessary
Able to work from 8:30-15:30
