Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools
Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced and adaptable Cover Supervisor to support a range of secondary schools across the area. This role is perfect for individuals with strong classroom management skills and the flexibility to cover lessons at short notice.As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and focused on their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students across a variety of subjects, delivering pre-prepared lesson plans.
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Provide support and guidance to students during lessons.
- Maintain a calm and structured atmosphere, ensuring students stay on task.
- Be available to cover lessons on short notice, including for sickness or other absences.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience leading a classroom is essential (e.g., as a Cover Supervisor, or in another educational role).
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to work confidently with secondary-aged students.
- Flexibility to work on a short-term basis and adapt to different subjects and year groups.
- A proactive and reliable approach to covering lessons at short notice.
