Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a role in a dynamic and growing organisation?
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor - Developments to join our dynamic team.
This role is crucial in ensuring effective cost management, financial reporting, and contractual compliance throughout thelifecycle of our development projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely financial documentation, including CVRs, management accounts, and forecasts.
- Manage cash flow effectively, ensuring timely applications, certifications, invoices, and administration of subcontractor
- Keep the Managing Surveyor and Commercial Heads informed of account progress through to finalisation, including release of
- Ensure compliance with Sub-contract and Construction Act, identifying and communicating commercial threats swiftly.
- Attend monthly project and client meetings, providing accurate surveying information and cost advice.
- Assist in the procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective selection with optimised buying
- Oversee the production of Main/Subcontract Final Accounts, including re-measurement and evaluation of variations and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with company policies on Health, Safety, Environment, LMS, IT, and People Services.
- Collaborate with senior management and construction teams in all contractual activities.
- Take ownership of commercial results, maximising returns and ensuring financial success.
- Work closely with the pre-construction team, providing feedback on losses, gains, and value engineering.
- Conduct annual and interim Performance & Development Reviews, identifying training needs and supporting professional growth.
- Support staff in achieving their Professional Development Plan, encouraging progression towards full professional membership.
- Maintain strong communication with the team, facilitating regular one-to-one discussions on progress and development.
Skills & Experience:
- Construction or Quantity Surveying qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 6
- Degree level or relevant professional qualification from within a business or construction discipline.
- Experience of commercial Quantity surveying / Estimating
- Understanding of contractual requirements for example, JCT and NEC Construction Contracts
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a management/supervisory position
- Full UK or EU driving license
Interview Process:
- Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of a competency-based questions.
