Commercial Cost Manager – Estates Services
We are seeking a Commercial Cost Manager to join an Estates Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring robust financial oversight and management of cost control processes, supporting the effective delivery of Estates Services.You will work closely with the Cost Management Lead, Finance Business Partners, and key stakeholders to drive cost efficiencies, compliance, and continuous improvement in all aspects of financial reporting, purchase order management, and payment processes.
Key Accountabilities:
Oversee the Purchase to Pay process and manage Purchase Orders for Estates Services.Support the Cost Management Lead in managing budgets and purchase orders for Estates Services.
Implement and maintain cost controls in line with contractual terms and financial policies.
Partner with Estates Teams to monitor and control contract spending.
Review and challenge applications for payment to ensure compliance and value for money.
Facilitate the application for payment process and manage compliance with payment schedules.
Collaborate with Cost Managers to monitor payment status and ensure accurate cost allocation.
Provide timely cost information for month-end reporting and financial management.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and service innovation in financial processes.
Key Requirements:
Experience in financial management and cost control, particularly within estates or property services.Strong understanding of Purchase to Pay processes and budget management.
Ability to interpret and enforce contractual terms and ensure compliance with financial policies.
Proven ability to manage payment processes and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with various teams.
Experience in driving continuous improvement in financial and cost management processes.
Knowledge of VAT compliance and audit processes within a complex estate environment.
