Quality Assurance Team Engineer - Edinburgh
The role will input to the delivery of QA services on specific projects/programmes being delivered by the QAT under supervision of senior QAT members. It will encompass working with the wider delivery teams and stake holders in learning and developing all aspects of functional and automation testing.
Increasing and developing knowledge of QA strategies and approaches, from planning through to execution and completion activities. It involves gaining experience and learnings around interfacing with design, architecture, development, subject matter experts, third party suppliers/partners and other business stakeholders to provide a fully integrated and independent QA service.
As a QA professional within Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service (SCTS) you will have an awareness of all aspects of functional & automated QA delivery across complex projects and programmes under supervision. You will gain experience on the ability to self-organise and gain an understanding of QA related risks and learning how to mitigate and minimise those risks.Gaining experience around accurate and precise reporting and communication skills at all levels will be fundamental to this role.
From a strategic perspective the role will allow growth and competency of the Testing/QA discipline for permanent CDi staff through ascertaining experience and knowledge via the wider QA team.
This should allow you to identify and contribute to quality improvements around testing/QA processes, ways of working, test tooling and training. Working with the QA Leads to embed the change in line with the modern digital environment that the QAT operates in.
This will be a skilled and technical role for an individual who is looking to grow these skills alongside having an enthusiasm and passion for QA within a dynamic ever changing backdrop. The ideal candidate must be capable and competent in their ability to develop and grow experience in the creation and delivery of functional and automation test strategies/solutions and frameworks to meet project requirements with support and guidance from the QAT.
