Commercial Waste Sales Officer

Overview:

The London Borough of Harrow Council is seeking a dynamic and motivated Commercial Waste Sales Officer. This role is pivotal in driving the growth and development of the Council’s commercial waste services to businesses across the borough. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising income targets through both proactive and reactive sales strategies.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of business-to-business sales, preferably in the field of commercial services.
• Experience of successful relationship management including supplier management, and customer/stakeholder management.
• Experience of achieving against sales targets.
• Sound diary and time management skills with the ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
• Ability to interpret basic management information reports and use this to make recommendations.
• Knowledge of relevant market, service and products with a commercial focus
• Excellent verbal, written communication, interpersonal skills
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills, able to work intuitively and liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Highly numerate and IT literate, able to work effectively with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
