Pharmacy Technician or Science Manufacturing Technician
Job overview
We are looking for a motivated enthusiastic individual to work in our modern licensed unit. Joining our friendly, dedicated workforce in Aseptic services section of the pharmacy department.
As a Band 4/Band 5 you will already have a great deal of current experience in a technical services unit and understand the need to fully adhere to standard operating procedures.
Willingness to support the team preparing products, have a keen eye for detail, be accurate and methodical in your approach. You will also be patient, organised, hard working, focused and willing to go the extra mile for the service and your team.You will lead from the front and supervise junior members of staff as a team leader. You will demonstrate strong communication skills and direct work accordingly.
You will have a level 3 in pharmacy services skills or equivalent (Science Manufacturing Technician qualification)
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for adhering to GMP and SOP's whilst preparing products including:
Clinical Trials, Chemotherapy, Adult PN, Antibiotics and Enzyme Replacement Treatments in clean air devices.Assisting with physical and environmental monitoring schedules.
Cleaning of essential equipment
Accuracy checking volumes and processes during production
You will an experience member of the aseptic team and be responsible for
Delegating tasks where requiredTeam leading
Worksheet and label production and organisation of the workload for CIVAS/PN
Internal audits
Supervising junior staff with training
Having an increased responsibility for the outcome of production for your assigned area

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria- 5 GCSE's A-C including Maths and English
- Level 3 In Pharmacy Services skills (Technician) or Level 3 Science Manufacturing Technician (Registration with the GPHC or equivalent required)
- Leadership Courses/Post graduate CPD courses
Experience
Essential criteria- Extensive Aseptic experience and knowledge of QAAPS
- Experience with supervising junior staff
Skills
Essential criteria- Excellent communication skills via telephone, in person and email
- Pays attention to detail and demonstrates this
- Able to work quickly under pressure with accuracy
- Able to delegate effectively and problem solve
- Understands KPI data and how it is used in aseptics
