An excellent opportunity for an experienced band 6/7 nurse with substantial integrated sexual health experience to further develop their leadership and management skills. Overseeing the day to day management of the ISH nursing team in Manchester and working closely with the service matron and other senior nurses within the service and wider Trust.

You will work independently and as part of the service MDT to deliver expert integrated sexual health care to our patients.

Main duties of the job

To work, and be recognised, as independent and expert practitioner in integrated sexual health by virtue of in-depth knowledge, expertise, proficiency and experience.

The post holder will have continuing responsibility for the day to day management of the Manchester nursing team.

The post holder will lead and manage a team of nurses and support workers. Working closely with the matron and other senior nurses to provide professional support to staff as necessary.

To work closely with the senior management team at their specific site and the wider service senior management team to ensure that the service meet all its clinical governance objectives and commissioner KPI's.

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse or Midwife
  • Recognised post registration qualification in Sexual and Reproductive Health
  • Relevant Degree
Desirable criteria
  • Dip SRH, STIF intermediate
  • Experienced ISH Nurse

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organisation skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Teaching assessment of pre and post registration student nurses

  • Can demonstrate previous leadership/management skills
