Job Duties:
- Provide high-quality tutoring in English and Maths for GCSE students
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons tailored to the individual needs of students
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to help them improve
- Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment
- Collaborate with parents and teachers to ensure student success
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in tutoring English and Maths at GCSE level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire students
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience
Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough understanding of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Experience working with diverse student populations
Working Conditions:
This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The tutor will be based in East Ham, Greater London, and may require travel to student homes or community centres for outreach sessions.
