Brand Activation Manager
Role Overview
The City Manager / Sales Brand Representative is a front-line, field-based role responsible for growing brand presence, supporting sell-through, and building long-term relationships with vape retailers within an assigned territory.
This role combines brand ambassador activity with field sales responsibility. You will represent the brand on the ground, educate retailers and store staff, support new product launches, and contribute directly to commercial performance through account growth and repeat ordering.
You are the face of the brand in-market, influencing shelf space, ranging decisions, and retailer confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Representation & Education- Act as a knowledgeable, professional ambassador for assigned brands
- Present and demonstrate compliant vape products, including pod systems and big puff devices and nicotine pouches
- Educate retailers and store staff on product features, flavour profiles, compliance requirements, and key selling points
- Ensure brand messaging and presentation are consistent across all retail accounts
- Support retailers with product ranging, promotions, and new SKU launches
- Drive product penetration, visibility, and shelf presence in-store
- Visit independent vape shops, wholesalers, and regional chains in line with agreed coverage plans
- Support compliant in-store activations, demonstrations, and launch days
- Provide POS materials, merchandising support, and staff training where required
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and regional market trends
- Gather retailer and consumer feedback and report insights to head office via bespoke CRM
- Maintain accurate visit reporting, KPI tracking, and activity updates
- Attend vape expos, trade shows, and industry events as required
- Represent the brand professionally at all external engagements
Working Hours & Flexibility
The role operates on a core schedule of Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm. Due to the field-based nature of the role, flexibility is required to support occasional early starts, late finishes, nationwide travel, store launches, or industry events.Additional hours will be planned in advance where possible and managed responsibly.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in vape, tobacco, FMCG, or field sales preferred but not essential
Understanding of the UK retail and wholesale sector, including retail execution and field-based sales activity
Strong knowledge of the UK vape market, including TPD regulations and post-disposable trends
Confident communicator with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
Comfortable working independently as a lone field worker, while collaborating effectively within a wider team
Proven ability to work to KPIs and performance targets, with strong organisation and time management
Self-motivated, reliable, and full of energy
Willing and able to travel nationwide when required
Full UK driving licence essential
Additional languages advantageous but not essential
