Bookkeeper Hastingwood (rural location) 100% office based Salary: £30,000 to £35,000 PRO RATA Part time, Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 3 pm, although these hours can be flexible Were looking for a skilled Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant to join our clients team and help keep the accounts running smoothly.

What You ll Be Doing: Keeping our financial records accurate and up to date. Managing invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations. Preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards. Handling VAT returns and staying on top of HMRC regulations.
Processing payroll, including wages, deductions, and pension contributions. Supporting budgeting and forecasting. Liaising with external auditors, accountants, and HMRC when needed. Keeping all financial information confidential and secure. What We re Looking For: At least 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in the UK.
Experience working with Xero. Ideally experienced in construction or property sectors, although this is not essential AAT qualification (or equivalent experience). Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles, VAT, and financial regulations. An eagle eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving.
