About the Role
We’re looking for a Client Principal to lead our go-to-market and client success efforts in the UK. You'll work at the intersection of strategy, delivery, and commercial growth, backed by a senior team that delivers with speed, clarity, and engineering excellence.
This is not a traditional sales role. It’s a leadership position at the heart of our UK business.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
Partner-Led Go-to-Market- Collaborate with major tech and consulting partners to originate opportunities and drive strategic co-sell activity
- Co-create go-to-market campaigns, propositions, and assets with our consulting and engineering teams
- Convert strategic conversations into high-value growth client engagements
- Own a portfolio of strategic accounts, with full responsibility for growth, satisfaction, and retention
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, helping them deliver real business impact through data, AI, and software
- Spot and shape new opportunities through a strong understanding of client needs, with a focus on outcomes over output
- Define and track client KPIs across engagement delivery, outcomes, and business impact
- Collaborate with Principal Engineers, AI Leads, and Consulting Directors to scope engagements and shape delivery approaches
- Write concise proposals and executive briefings that reflect both commercial and technical clarity
- Support pre-sales activity through narrative, credibility, and sharp framing, not boilerplate
- Join the UK Leadership Team and contribute to business strategy, team culture, and future planning
- Mentor and coach others on client engagement, commercial thinking, and storytelling
- Represent Simple Machines at partner events, client sessions, and in the market
- Proven experience in a senior client-facing role in a technology or consulting firm, ideally one known for engineering excellence
- Solid understanding of cloud ecosystems, enterprise architecture, and data/AI-led transformation, enough to credibly engage clients and collaborate with our technical leaders
- Track record of building trusted relationships at the C-suite or Director level
