Payment Schemes Relationship Manager (6 months)
- As part of the Payment Schemes & Partnerships team, you’ll manage the banks strategic relationship with our key payment partners to drive the future of payments
- Working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, you'll provide thought leadership and astute commercial management, making sure we deliver for our customers and drive value for the bank
- In return, you’ll be able to build a network of stakeholders across the bank and externally, giving great exposure to you and your work
- We're offering this role for a period of six months
What you'll do
As a Payment Schemes Relationship Manager, you’ll be proactively managing commercial and contract arrangements. You'll refine and manage comprehensive engagement models with our strategic partners. We’ll look to you to manage and influence our partners to deliver a One Bank vision for payments digitisation and innovation, while improving primacy and providing effortless and secure experiences.
You’ll also be:
- Providing day-to-day relationship management of our payment partners to make sure they meet in year objectives
- Taking accountability for maximising income and optimising fees
- Influencing schemes and payment partners to drive customer engagement through effective propositions
- Interpreting scheme rule changes and assessing the impact on the business
- Delivering presentations to senior audiences, up to executive level
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone with an excellent understanding of the payment market, its competitive dynamics and how they influence customer behaviour and our commercial imperatives. Strong partner and vendor management skills are desirable, coupled with excellent planning and organisational skills.
You’ll also need:
- The analytical ability to use data to inform decision making
- Good experience of the banking industry, regulatory and commercial environment
- To be educated to degree level
- Established payments experience
