Electrical Designer – Teesside

My client is a design and build Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Automation specialist based in the North East.
They are looking for an Electrical Designer to strengthen their site design team on Teesside on a contract or permanent basis.

Role:
 •  To provide engineering designs, maintain site records and provide support for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of their current projects.
 •  To provide scopes of work for projects and plant modifications.
 •  To site survey existing plant.
 •  Liaise with and support site engineering and maintenance teams.
 •  To work accurately and effectively meeting given deadlines.
 •  To check other designers work.
 •  Maintain site records and drawings.
 •  To work safely to safeguard themselves and colleagues in the workplace.

Requirements:
 •  Minimum of HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
 •  Design of process instrumentation loops ranging from pneumatic to DCS.
 •  Design of relay and PLC based control and shutdown logic systems.
 •  Design of electrical systems ranging from 24VDC up to 415V.
 •  Working knowledge of current European regulations (Desirable)
 •  Working knowledge of DSEAR and IEC 61508 (Desirable)
 •  Analytical and problem solving skills.
 •  Computer skills – AutoCAD, Word Excel.
 •  Self-motivated.
 •  A natural communicator.
 •  Able to work in a team.
 •  Physically fit.
Rate: £32.50h/r - can be discussed depending on experience, LTD company option available for contractors.
