Deputy Technical Support Manager (£226 Per Day Inside IR35)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Technical Support Manager to join our Digital Service Department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and management of IT technical support services across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Technical Support service and teams in the absence of the IT Second Line Support Manager.
• Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of end-user devices and software according to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Assist in asset control and reporting, ensuring compliance with NHS digital policies.
• Provide technical support services that meet the needs of over 3,500 staff across various locations.
• Lead service development and implementation of changes, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in a senior IT technical support role, including staff supervision.
• Experience working in a project management environment, with the ability to identify, plan, implement, and evaluate IT services.
• Hands-on experience in repairing laptops and laser printers in a complex environment.
• Demonstrated success in policy development and implementation within a complex organisational structure.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Technical qualifications at BTEC level or equivalent, such as MCSE or A+ certification.
• ITIL Foundation certification is highly desirable.
• A valid UK driving licence is required for this role.
