We are seeking 2x diligent and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerks to join a finance team for a housing association dedicated to providing affordable homes for people who would otherwise be priced out of the market. They operate in Broxbourne and across South East Hertfordshire, offering a range of services to support their customers and communities.

Your new role

The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the company's outgoing transactions, ensuring all payments are processed accurately and efficiently. This includes managing the entire invoicing process, from receiving and verifying supplier invoices to ensuring they are correctly coded and authorised.

Additionally, you will handle the reconciliation of supplier statements, promptly resolving any discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records. This role is a temporary position for 3–4 months, with a high potential to become permanent should they find the perfect fit for their team.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger or similar finance role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
