Health & Safety Officer
Provide managers and staff at all levels of the organisation with routine advice on health and safety matters. Act as the first point of contact before disseminating queries to Health & Safety Lead. Ensure that any specialised training records that the Health & Safety Lead is responsible for maintaining are accurate, collated and input correctly and provide regular and ad hoc compliance reports Support to the Trust ASMS as appropriate To actively promote good health and safety to Trust staff, contractors and, where possible, service users.
To undertake such other duties as shall be allocated by the Health and Safety Lead or the ASMS in accordance with the grade of this post. To provide advice in accordance with the requirements of this job description to all other Trust staff as and when required.To maintain and continue professional development as a health and safety officer in order that advice given is founded on up to date appropriate professional knowledge. To provide health and safety training as required and in line with the Trust Health and Safety Policies To support Managers with the upkeep of their Health and Safety knowledge and training.
