Training contract for an Foreign Qualified Lawyer

Bradberrys Solicitors LLP is a commercial and private law firm. It is accredited for the Law Society’s “Conveyancing Quality Scheme”.).

We require a legally experienced person to fill a new position starting in September 2024 for a training contract. A full Training programme with specialist supervision will be provided.

This position will require an additional aspect, of being an assistant to a partner and the work involves private client work and compliance and must have knowledge of Land Laws and Succession Laws in India.

Starting Date: Preferably from 01 September 2024

Preferred:

• Knowledge or experience of the areas of Indian Succession and Family Law, land laws.
• Proven commercial ability to enhance a profitable caseload of private work.

Requirements

Requirements:

• A high quality LLB degree and experience in an Indian Law firm ( if the LLB is an overseas degree from an Indian University, it should be in English with at least 70% overall marks).
• Efficient worker, decisive character, with good commercial judgement.
• Good impersonal skills- ability to work in a small team with difficult clients under stress.
• Good command over Hindi and Punjabi(Urdu) and should be able to read legal documents in these languages and communicate with clients in the said languages
