This is a fantastic opportunity to teach Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers who are passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists.

About the Role

As part of our vibrant Science department, you will deliver high-quality lessons across a range of disciplines – Biology, Chemistry, and Physics – encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. Our students are eager to engage, and our facilities are well-equipped to support practical, hands-on science education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Assess student progress effectively and use data to inform teaching strategies
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes high expectations
  • Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the Science department
  • Participate in trips, clubs, or enrichment activities that enhance the science offer at BPS

Requirements

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a relevant field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Strong knowledge of the science curriculum for KS3 and KS5.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students through innovative teaching methods.
