Requirements
Due to continuous growth and the requirement support our projects we are looking for a Structural Engineer who has experience of- Structural steel design for a dynamic marine environment
- Seafastening design, including design and analysis of grillages, winch bases, lay spreads and work platforms to DNV standards
- Performing analysis of allowable stress of structures to AISC ASD 9th ed or similar.
- Lifting equipment design / checks according to DNV codes
- Installation aid design and analysis
- Ship structure knowledge an advantage
- Understanding of steel fabrication methods and standards, including welding.
- Ability to perform hand (spreadsheet) calculations as well as use tools such as FEA and beam / column modellers
- 2D and 3D CAD skills
- Excellent written reporting skills
- Use of software such as:
- ANSYS FEA
- Space Gass (frame modeller)
- MS Excel and Word
