Junior Sous Chef - Saltash
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sous Chef to join our team at The China Fleet Country Club which is set in 180 acres of beautiful Cornish countryside, just 15 minutes from Plymouth’s city centre. We are a Country Club that offers accommodation, fitness & leisure, golf, dining, hair & beauty, weddings, conference and events.
The role will involve supervising food preparation and food service in a busy kitchen, food ordering and overseeing functions and assisting the Executive Head Chef, Head Chef and Sous Chef on a day to day basis whilst leading their own section ensuring food preparation and service meets our quality standards.
As the Junior Sous Chef you will deputise for the Executive Head Chef, Head Chef and Sous Chef and will ensure the kitchen runs smoothly in their absence.
Hours are full time which will include daytimes, evenings and weekends. No Split shifts

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong Supervisory and managerial skills with a hands on approach and lead by example work style
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail and passion for food
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure
