The Opportunity
As the Finance and HR Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing two essential pillars of the organization's health: financial management and human resources. This dynamic position ensures the seamless operation of financial processes while fostering HR best practices.
In finance, you will maintain accurate records, support accounts receivable and expense tracking, and collaborate on reporting to provide valuable insights for decision-making. On the HR side, you will manage payroll, ensure compliance with regulations, and support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management initiatives.
This is a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally, ensuring financial integrity and an engaging employee experience in a small organization. You will report directly to senior leadership and work closely with key stakeholders to drive operational excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
Finance (60%)- Accounts Receivable (AR) Support: Provide weekly support for accounts receivable by monitoring outstanding invoices, reconciling payments, following up with clients, and preparing AR performance reports.
- Bookkeeping Support: collaborate with the finance team to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and track business expenses, ensuring proper categorization and adherence to company policies.
- Ad Hoc Legal and Finance Tasks: Provide administrative support for legal and financial tasks across global operations as required.
- Weekly reporting: provide weekly reporting from Xero to the relevant team
- Payroll Management: Manage and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Compliance: Liaise with external parties (e.g., legal, payroll providers, regulatory bodies) to ensure compliance with all relevant HR regulations and standards.
- Performance Management:
- Assist in the yearly review process by coordinating timelines, gathering relevant data, and providing insights into market salary averages and benchmarking.
- Support the implementation of performance management systems and guide team members through development goals.
- Recruitment: Support recruitment efforts by sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, managing communications, and maintaining up-to-date recruitment trackers.
- Onboarding: Prepare employment contracts and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
- Offboarding: Manage the exit process, including final documentation and compliance requirements
Requirements
Skills & Experience- You are comfortable with spreadsheets and know basic formulas.
- Previous experience in HR and/or finance admin roles.
- Knowledge of payroll processes, HR compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Experience in recruitment and talent management is a plus.
- Understanding of bookkeeping and financial processes.
