Job title – Residential Children’s Worker

Location – Stoke

Pay - £12.55-£13.55 per hour, £60 per sleep in

Hours – Full time, part time and weekend only

We have two shift patterns within the Heysham area, full days with sleeps and wake nights.

Requirements of a Residential Support Worker
  • A minimum of 12 months experience working with children and young people
  • Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
  • Full employment history with any gaps explained

Responsibilities of a Residential Support Worker:

  • Provide support for the children and young people in the home and to promote their independence and wellbeing
  • To be able to deal with challenging behaviours when needed
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
  • Maintain a safe environment for young people
  • Engage, communicate and listen to the children and their needs
  • Work pro-actively
  • Provide essential care and nurturing to the children
  • Maintain professional boundaries
  • Remain person centred at all times
