A fantastic law firm with offices spanning across the UK are looking for a planning Solicitor to join their dynamic team, with opportunities available for both junior and senior candidates. This is a fantastic chance to be part of a leading legal practice that handles a diverse portfolio of clients and planning matters across multiple sectors.
As a Planning Solicitor, you will provide high-quality legal advice and support on a variety of planning and environmental issues. You will work with a range of clients including landowners, property developers, charities, educational institutions, property investors, financial entities, businesses, and private individuals. The teams' work encompasses a broad spectrum of planning matters, including but not limited to:
- Drafting and negotiating planning agreements (e., Section 106).
- Providing expert legal guidance on planning regulations and compliance.
- Handling applications for certificates of lawfulness.
- Advising on rights of way and highway-related issues.
- Managing waste and mineral applications.
- Representing clients in appeals, judicial and statutory reviews.
- Supporting clients through compulsory purchase orders (CPO) and enforcement actions.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in planning law, with exposure to a wide range of planning and environmental matters.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, particularly with planning agreements.
- Strong analytical abilities, with a focus on providing clear, practical advice.
- Effective communication skills, capable of building strong client relationships.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
