Key Accountabilities

&bull Create Manage the Solidworks PDM training documentation to improve modelling and drawing standards
&bull Suggest and Implement Solidworks PDM training
&bull Develop Create and manage workflow procedures
&bull Support the Solidworks PDM (data management system) offering improvements to streamline processes
&bull Introduce new Solidworks systems and software to improve efficiency in the RD design and product support departments
&bull Act as the key point of contact with the Solidworks support team and Siemens IT
&bull Research and propose improvements to the 3D systems within SMO RI UK
&bull Maintain awareness of new software packages and technologies
&bull Act as a gate keeper for the SMO RI UK PDM database - maintain monitor and revision control all 3D CAD data

&bull Promote best modelling and draughting practices within the SRA design and product support engineering teams

&bull Support the development and management of any migration plans for SolidWorks either within the SMO IT system or to a new CAD tool like Siemens NX

Skills Experience

&bull Experienced user of Solidworks with a focused expertise in administration of PDM
&bull Experience of working in this role for atleast 5 years in both development and manufacturing environment
&bull Knowledge of NX CAD system and Teamcentre would be desirable
&bull Organised and structured approach to work
&bull Good presentation and communication skills

&bull Works well in a team
