Job Type: 6-Month Contract

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

36 paid hours per week (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Shorterm Group is seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Fitter to join our team in Wandsworth. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of a fleet of heavy goods vehicles. This position involves working on both petrol and diesel HGVs, performing servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance to high standards.

• Conduct regular servicing and preventive maintenance of petrol and diesel HGV fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform inspections and ensure all vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely vehicle availability and operational efficiency.

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
• Full, valid driver's license (mandatory).
• HGV license (advantageous but not essential).
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance regulations.
