We have an exciting opportunity to join our Abbeycraig service, based in the Easterhouse area of Glasgow, as Support Practitioner on a permanent, full
  • time basis (39 hours per week).Due to the nature of this role, we can only accept applications from female candidates who hold a manual driving license.

The role:Our Abbeycraig service supports four young adults, aged 20-25, with complex needs, within their own flats.

The support individuals have autism, epilepsy and/or ADHD.
Three of the individuals have mobility cars and rely on these for activities so candidates with a manual driving license are required.
As a Support Practitioner, you will assist them in their daily lives, helping to develop essential life skills and explore new interests, as well as increasing their confidence and independence and helping to reduce social isolation.

To be an amazing Support Practitioner, we’ll need you to:Have an empathetic and caring natureExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIT literateBe able to work well in a team environment and on your ownGood organisational skills Shift Patterns:Our dedicated team provide tailored support 24/7 and shift patterns include working days, evenings, sleepovers, wakened nights, weekends and bank/public holidays.The sleepover part of your shift is not included in your contracted hours so for every sleepover you cover you will be paid an additional £99.20.
