The main duties of the post will include Antenatal Clinics Elective Caesarian Lists Administrative duties, for which appropriate office space and secretarial support is provided Weekend On-call duties for Obstetrics is shared with 16 colleagues on an approximately 1:8 basis o Friday/Sunday on-call weekend - resident 08:00 to 19.30 hours during weekends Saturday and Sunday and then non resident until 08:00 o Saturday on-call weekend as above o Short working weekend 08:00 to 16:00 Saturday and Sunday (no overnight on-call) o non-patient-facing duties on a post-on call day Hot Week (Alternate Antenatal/Labour Ward) 1 week in 8: Monday to Friday 08:00 18:00 hrs (relieved of other activities during this period) Weekday On-call duties for Obstetrics is shared with 16 colleagues on an approximately 1:16 basis (resident from 17:30 hours until 23:00 hours during weekdays Monday to Friday and then non resident until 08:00) non-patient-facing duties on a post-on call day.

Supporting Professional Activities in accordance with the Trust Framework, with at least a minimum of 1.5 SPAs included in the core 10PA timetable. Additional SPA or DCC time may be commissioned in line with the skills of the successful candidate and changing requirements of the service.
